ABOUT ME

Untitled-1.jpg

Hello Friends!

My name is Eve.  I am delighted you took the time to learn about me.  I look forward to getting to know you as well.

My learnings of Taoism has lead me to a harmonious life of simplicity, patience, compassion, going with the flow, and letting go.

I opened Nine Palaces Acupuncture Clinic to help my patients achieve that same holistic well-being.  My mission is to nurture my patients’ physical and mental health and general well-being through the exploration of short and long-term lifestyle changes and the use of acupuncture and health education.

I believe enlightenment is a non-stop process of discovering external knowledge as well as the inner self.  I seek to accomplish improvements in each patient through deeper awareness and understanding of their own process of enlightenment.

The name Nine Palaces captures my learning and beliefs.  The “Nine” comes from nine main life lessons: Health, Wealth, Prosperity, Relationship, Children/Creativity, Travel/Adventure, Career/Vocation, Wisdom and Family.  Through working and understanding these palaces, wisdom and enlightened evolution is achieved.

"Your are a part of my life, your needs are just as important as mine"

HOLISTIC CONCEPT OF CHINESE MEDICINE

Untitled-2.jpg

Traditional Chinese Medicine differs from Western medicine.  In Western medicine, doctors look for specific causes of diseases and focuses on that particular ailment to treat.

My beliefs and studies have taught me to look at the body as a holistic being, just as the Ancient Chinese believed that our existence is closely tied with the universe and the laws of nature, that relationships are formed between the cosmos and humans – the Yin and Yang.

The universe corresponds to our body like the skin on our bodies corresponds with the flat texture of the earth.  Our five internal organs correspond to the earth’s five elements: wood, fire, water, earth, and metal.  Our eyes and ears are the sun and moon in the heavens.  All these elements must coexist in harmony for our universe to thrive. Just like the universe, the elements within our body must be treated in unity to find the happy balance.  This concept is the basic idea of Taoism, a philosophical and religious tradition of China which emphasizes the living in harmony with the Tao.

The Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment that I will focus on providing you will be to find the disharmony of your body rather than focusing on a specific organ or body region.

ACUPUNCTURE

Includes wide range of treatments. At present, almost all common clinical diseases can be treated, especially for nervous, respiratory, digestive, sports, genitourinary and endocrine diseases.

ASIAN BODYWORK (TUI-NA)

Tui-Na is one of the four main branches of traditional Chinese medicine, it differs from other forms of massage in that it is used to treat specific illnesses of an internal nature as well as muscular skeletal ailments.

ACU-FACIAL

Facial acupuncture "a natural facial rejuvenation treatment"that involves inserting acupuncture needles into specific points on the face which signals your body to send collagen to that area to heal.

CUPPING

A type of alternative therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to facilitate healing with blood flow to improve “qi” in the body.
